Safe Surf VPN
Safe Surf VPN protects your privacy and security on the Internet by blocking malicious sites and ad trackers.
Introduction
Safe Surf:
- helps you improve your
Network
section, specifically yourTraffic security
score, - is very easy to turn on this functionality. It does not require any complex setup of your mobile device or WiFi router (as is the need for other external services providing DNS traffic filtering, such as Cloudflare or Quad9),
- does not require the installation of any other application. This feature is part of the Redamp.io application, available with one click.
Key Features
Safe Surf main advantages and features:
DNS blocking enabled by default
All benefits described in "What is DNS filtering and why is it important? " are included in Safe Surf. It means protection against multiple threats, such as malware, phishing, and other potentially harmful websites.
DNS requests through VPN tunnel
As the VPN connection is established to our servers, all DNS queries made by the user's device are now routed through the encrypted VPN tunnel. Instead of using the default DNS servers provided by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), the device uses the DNS servers associated with the VPN service.
Privacy and encryption
Safe Surf ensures that DNS requests are encrypted, adding an extra layer of privacy. This prevents third parties, such as ISPs or potential eavesdroppers on public networks, from intercepting or tampering with DNS queries.
Security on public Wi-Fi
Safe Surf is particularly beneficial when using public Wi-Fi networks. The encrypted tunnel protects the user's data, including DNS requests, from potential security risks on unsecured networks.
Auto-VPN
Auto-VPN is a feature that allows administrators to easily set the conditions under which Safe Surf is enabled or disabled on an endpoint device.
How to do it? Simply log in to your account and set the selected network as Office Network
in the web app.
A typical case is an employee and their mobile device. The administrator sets the Safe Surf feature to automatically turn off when the employee arrives at the office. This is useful, for example, if internal resources need to be accessed.
If the employee leaves the office, the Safe Surf feature will turn itself on. The employee's device is now protected whether they are taking the bus, going to the café or arriving home and connecting to the local network here.
