How to increase scan frequency

This guide provides a tips on how to increase the scan frequency of a device.

Mobile Devices

Keep the application running in the background. Mobile operating systems like Android and iOS doesn't allow to perform any tasks (e.g. background scan) when the application is not actively running in the background.

Android

Make sure the application is running in the background by:

  1. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen or click on the "recent apps" button (usually a square or a button with two rectangles).
  2. This action will bring up the App Switcher, which displays all currently running apps.
  3. Make sure that you see the Redamp.io app in the list of running apps.

iOS

Make sure the application is running in the background by:

  1. Double-click the home button or swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen (for devices without a home button, swipe up and hold).
  2. This action will bring up the App Switcher, which displays all currently running apps.
  3. Swipe left or right to see all the running apps.
  4. Make sure that you see the Redamp.io app in the list of running apps.

Desktop Devices

Keep the application running in the background.

Windows

Make sure the application is running in the background by:

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager.
  2. In the search bar, type Redamp.io.
  3. If you see the Redamp.io app in the list of running apps, it means the application is running in the background.
